Like hundreds of thousands of other Aussies I now feel it is time to wade into the Shappelle debate. I do feel sorry for the girl - I spent 1 night in the dodgy hostel in Ko San Rd with like a pit for a toilet. I am sure that a Bali jail would be worse than that. However, I put this question to you, my avid reader (possibly only JL) - why has Shappelle not lost any weight? The trial was held up for about 2 weeks cos she was sick with diarrhea and vomiting. If I chuck for a couple of days I will loose like 5 kilos. Now how can she be that sick for that long and still be the same weight? I don't know what this has to do with her guilt or innocence - that is for the court to work out. However, this lack of weight loss prompts me to believe that she possibly is a big fat liar.

My points as follows:
1. You paid for the Ko San Road experience. I doubt the same payment system is in place for staying at the Bali jail. Therefore more fool to you for any pit toilet you may have received.
2. Just as I do not trust short people, I equally do not trust fat people. If they do not have enough control to put the cheesecake down what hope do they have in controlling other facets of their live.
3. My question to you is her looks. Her make-up is always perfectly applied, she never looking tired and always has perfectly washed and dried hair? I live in Malvern and cannot achieve that. Furthermore, I highly doubt that she has a high power shower or full length mirror with heat lamps to get ready in front of so I don't know how she does it.
4. Who does her washing as her clothes are always very clean
5. Does her sister actually live in Bali as I heard she lived in QLD?
6. I had also heard that she had gone to Bali 14 times in the last 4 months and her sister and brother had both been charged with drug related matters before.
7. I am strangely very interested in this case
8. Why the hell did she laugh when first arrested? Surely she cannot be that dumb.
