Go Bananans!!!!!

So some people have been SOOO rude as to call me lazy for not writing on my blog. So here goes. FYI I am not lazy I am just a complex character of many diverse interests that take up much of my time.

So we are back onto netball. Since my last netball entries – over a year ago I think – I have changed teams twice. I wont bore you with the inbetween team (2 preimerships and a runners up, but who’s counting), but concentrate on this new team.

So we got off to a bit of a bad start. Last week we all rocked up for the first game, only to find that the other team didn’t bother. Big anticlimax, and not exactly how we wanted to start the season. However last night was great – with a nail biting win from the Bananas. Only one point the difference at the end of the game, in our favour. I even had the gall to ask Mel if she cheated for us (which she didn’t). The game was definitely a lot faster than we were used to, and I think that we were all a little shell shocked in the first quarter. However, we picked up and since we didn’t know each other well there was a bit of “me, throw it to me” going on, but we got there in the end.

Although there was a definite lack of “go bananas” cheers from the sidelines, and even on court. Aim for next week – win by 2 and learn everyone name!

My man of the match goes to Cam “String bean” Forbes, who said he couldn’t shoot, then managed to blitz in goals. Impressively he was not distracted by the fattest goal keeper ever nor the shiny bling shorts that Bridget choose to wear!
