Strangely enough... my life is so boring that I feel I need to share it with everyone else.

My 42 year old sister.....

As we walked into the stadium last night Carli-new chick told me that we hadn't lost a game since she joined the team. That got me thinking about 3 things. One, I should stop calling her Carli new chick since she has been with us for 6 weeks. Two, there have been some poor displays of wing defense this season. And three, overall we are pretty freakin' awesome. I don't remember the exact score last night, but to get into the 40s was pretty great. Plus it puts us on top of the ladder - our rightful position. To tell the truth I was a little afraid the Monkeys would turn out to be like Geelong. Show a lot of promise during the year, but loose it in the home stretch. However, the little team that could just keeps on firing. Two big games to go before we are rightfully crowned rulers of the box hill mixed netball competition.

Some of the highlights of last nights game: the Charlie, Jonseey, Jenny combination that was unstoppable and resulted in goal every time. Thomos 7 attempts at goal - getting his own rebound every time (and in the end the goal). Prenda's short shorts (and more importantly Prenda's ring in Kate who played really well, but seemed a little intimidated by our aggression). Me knocking over both the goal shooter and goal attack and then being called for intimidation within 2 minutes.

The upset of the night came when the best on ground was awarded to my 42 year old sister. I play all freakin' season, she comes down for 1 night and gets BOG. (admittedly she was on fire). Even at 42 she is still better than me. Story of my life - it's very cold living in the shaddow of your 6 ft sister..... The only upside to her winning was that Charlie didn't get it - I am sick of those BOGs he keeps getting. You open his car door, they fall out. You lie in his bed, you wake up with one stuck to your face. I think he even keeps one in his wallet so he can always have it with him.....

Slytherin lost last night, but word around the netball courts is that they are getting better. They actually were in the lead at half time, and seem to have found some talent. Perhaps a grudge match is in order......
